Phase I Project of Chengdu Metro Line 3 is “Investment & Financing + EPC + Repurchase”, with a total length of the line approximately 20.359 kilometers, all of which is underground lines. It starts from southwest at Hongpailou South Station to the north-west at Tianhuizheng South Station connecting 17 stations and including one vehicle depot (the northern suburbs vehicle depot). With a contractual investment of 6.9 billion CNY (approximately 1 billion USD), the project started in May 2012 and opened for trial operation in June 2016.
