Papua New Guinea Leaders Attend Inauguration of National Court Project

Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea ¡ª On September 10, the inauguration ceremony of the Papua New Guinea National Court Project, built by China Railway Construction Engineering Group, was held. Governor-General Bob Dadae, Prime Minister James Marape, and Chief Justice Gibuma Salika attended the ceremony and delivered speeches.

In his speech, Chief Justice Salika expressed special thanks to China Railway Construction Engineering Group, highly praising the project management team for the professionalism and outstanding performance demonstrated since the commencement of construction.

Located in the political and cultural center of Waigani in Port Moresby, the capital of Papua New Guinea, the National Court Project covers a total area of about 48,000 square meters with a construction area exceeding 29,000 square meters. The facilities include the main court building, administrative office building, reception building, guesthouse, along with supporting parking lots, central plaza, and equipment zones. It stands as the largest and highest-standard government building project in the South Pacific region. As a landmark project dedicated to Papua New Guinea¡¯s 50th Independence Anniversary, it not only represents a crucial step in the modernization of the country¡¯s judicial system but also serves as key infrastructure in its rule-of-law development.
